In a telephone conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized the need to establish a regional security structure composed of West Asian nations to ensure peace and stability without foreign interference.

Why it matters:

Prodoucing endogenous security by the regional countries themselves could protect them as it was peoved in the recent war imposed on the region by the Israeli regime, where the U.S. failed to ensure the sucurity of the countries hosting its bases.

What he's saying:

Irania President Masoud Pezeshkian: "It is Israel that attacks and assassinates in Lebanon, Gaza, Iran, Iraq, Qatar, and anywhere it wants, justifying its aggression in the name of security and peace while setting the region ablaze."

"In various meetings attended by the martyred leader of the Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei], he strongly opposed to nuclear weapons and issued the necessary administrative and religious directives (Fatwa) to prevent any movement toward nuclear arms."

Pezeshkian also highlighted the independent role that BRICS can play in halting aggression against Iran and safeguarding stability and security at both regional and international levels.

The big picture:

Tehran’s confrontation with the U.S.-Israeli aggression on Iran has entered a regional phase, with a warning from the Iranian side that any further attacks on Iran’s vital infrastructure could trigger wider retaliation across West Asia.
